Laughter Extravaganza

I know that you are used to me posting regarding the serious side of the news at Eagle Eye, but tonight I thought that I would change things up tonight.
One of the stations in the Eagle Eye lineup is the sketch comedy show “In the Jungle.” This show offers viewers a lighter side of the news.
By that I mean that the show reports on off-the-wall topics that make the news such as, “man marries a tree.” We all need to take a break from the hard hitting topics that we are bombarded with on a daily basis. We all need to take a step back and laugh.
This show, is a cure for those weekly blues that we can seem to it.
Tuesday marked the first episode of the season due to the wintery weather that hit the South last week and forced us to miss class for three days.
Despite the fact that this was the first show of the season, you wouldn’t have known that if you were on the set. It was all hands on deck as veterans and newcomers to the show came to lend a hand and participate in the laughs.
I would be remiss if I didn’t outline some of the skits you can find on the show.
The show features a running gag of the show’s intern, a segment titled “Don’t be that guy” where viewers are introduced to the stereotypical jerk who does things you should stray away from and many others.
Tuesday’s filming marked the fourth season of the show, and there hope to be many more.
Well, I don’t want to talk too much about the show. I want you to see it for yourselves and see how good it is.
The show airs at 7:30 P.M. CST on Tuesdays and Thursdays on channel 6.1 for Auburn students.
